What each part is, and what it fixes on a TJ
A TJ locates its rear axle with four control arms: two short uppers and two longer lowers. The factory arms are fixed length with rubber bushings. Lift the Jeep and the axle rotates, which changes the pinion angle that the driveshaft sees.
Adjustable arms let you set that angle back. Flex joints on the ends also let the axle twist further before the arms bind, which is where the extra articulation comes from.
Rough Country 11910 is the rear half of its X-Flex line. Rough Country describes the X-Flex joint as a ball-in joint with a 2.5 in. diameter body and 1.25 in. threads. The upper joints pivot up to 20 degrees and the lowers up to 35 degrees.
Currie's CE-9103 and CE-9106 are sold under the RockJock name, which is John Currie Performance Group. Each arm carries a Johnny Joint at both ends. RockJock describes it as a steel ball that pivots inside a urethane shell, good for over 30 degrees per joint.
Rough Country also sells 11990 (rear uppers only, $199.95 MAP) and 11470 (front and rear, $799.95 MAP). 11470 is 11910 plus the 11920 front set. Bought separately those two come to $759.90 MAP.

Neither maker publishes a "will not fit" note for any TJ trim. The Rough Country data carries one oddity. A dealer database lists 1993-1998 Cherokees, but the SEMA catalog record and the part title do not, so treat 11910 as a TJ and LJ part.

The biggest difference is the frame end. Rough Country uses a bushing there, Currie uses a second Johnny Joint. Two joints per arm spread the twist across both ends, and each end can be rebuilt on its own.
RockJock sells every piece separately, down to the rebuild kit (CE-9112RK), jam nut and greasable bolt. Rough Country publishes no tube size or adjustment range for 11910. We checked the SEMA catalog, the dealer data and the install sheet.

Install compared
Rough Country's sheet has you pull the coil springs. You drop the lower shock mounts and sway bar links, lower the axle and remove the springs, using a compressor if needed. The arms go in one side at a time on factory bolts, and the e-brake line bracket moves to the new upper.
Rough Country's starting lengths are 14 1/2 in. for the uppers and 16 1/2 in. for the lowers, center to center. Everything is tightened at ride height, then greased. Rough Country quotes 4-6 hours and says to align the Jeep immediately.
RockJock's install has two extra jobs. The upper arm bolt holes at the frame and axle must be reamed to 7/16 in. for the new greasable bolts. On most years the passenger-side upper frame bolt also means dropping the exhaust off its two hanger bolts.
RockJock presets its arms at 13 1/2 in. (uppers) and 15 3/4 in. (lowers) for a 4 in. lift. The e-brake cables are zip-tied to the new uppers and the factory brackets are discarded. Upper bolts torque to 50 ft-lb and lowers to 90 ft-lb, with the joints centered before the jam nuts go tight.

One detail stands out. Rough Country's starting upper length (14 1/2 in.) is longer than the CE-9103's full extension (14.000 in.). The two kits start from different points, so do not copy one maker's numbers onto the other's arms.
What it changes on the Jeep, and what else you'll need
Both kits let you set the rear pinion angle after a lift. RockJock gives a target: 2-3 degrees down from the driveshaft angle with a conventional shaft, or 1 degree down with a CV shaft. Rough Country's sheet sends you to an alignment shop and gives no angle.
More articulation means more droop, and droop is what tears brake hoses. RockJock tells you to cycle the suspension and fit longer hoses if the travel threatens them. It also notes longer parking brake cables may be needed.
RockJock suggests pairing its arms with its axle-end Johnny Joint kit (CE-9102K) and its adjustable track bars. Our list of what a lift breaks covers why the track bar comes first.
Warranty and support
Currie (RockJock): "all items manufactured by RockJock to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the limited period of two (2) years from the stated delivery date on invoice." It covers the original purchaser with proof of purchase and is non-transferable. Alteration, improper use and failures caused by non-RockJock parts are excluded, and you pay freight on claims.
Rough Country: we could not read the terms for this part. The roughcountry.com page blocked automated access on 10 September 2026, and the catalog and dealer data carry no warranty text. Get the terms from the seller in writing before you buy.
Owner reports
Owner reports, not specs. ExtremeTerrain's listing for the full eight-arm Currie set (CE-9100) shows 4.9 stars from 14 reviews. That is an aggregate from a retailer, not a durability test.
We did not find published owner reports for the Rough Country 11910 in this research pass. Forum threads on JeepForum, WranglerTJForum and r/JeepTJ were not reachable. We will add them when they are.
Who should buy which
Buy the Rough Country 11910 if price decides it, or if you want arms that bolt in on factory hardware with no drilling. It also has the published rating for lifts up to 6.5 in. It is less than half the Currie price.
Buy the Currie CE-9103 + CE-9106 if you wheel hard and want a joint at both ends that you can rebuild piece by piece. You also get published tube, travel and adjustment numbers and a written warranty. That documentation is the difference between knowing what you bought and hoping.
Overall winner for a trail-first TJ: Currie. For a budget build or a daily driver with a modest lift, Rough Country does the job for $505.05 less.
FAQ
Does the Rough Country 11910 fit the LJ Unlimited?
Yes. Rough Country titles the part for the Wrangler TJ (97-06) and Wrangler Unlimited (04-06), and its dealer fitment rows include the Unlimited and Unlimited Rubicon. RockJock lists CE-9103 and CE-9106 for all TJ and LJ models too.
Do I need to drill anything to fit the Currie RockJock rear arms?
Yes. RockJock's manual says the rear upper arm bolt holes at the frame and the axle must be reamed to 7/16 in. with a drill bit to take the supplied greasable bolts. The Rough Country instructions reuse the factory hardware and call for no drilling.
Why does the Currie set cost so much more than the Rough Country set?
You are buying two pairs, and each has Johnny Joints at both ends plus new greasable Grade 8 hardware on the lowers. The Rough Country arms have a flex joint at one end and a bushing at the other, and they reuse factory bolts.
Which one will fit my 6 in. lift?
Rough Country recommends the 11910 for 0 to 6.5 in. of lift. RockJock does not publish a lift range; it presets its arms for a 4 in. TJ lift with a slip yoke eliminator and a CV driveshaft and gives the adjustment limits instead.
